About the artist

I live in the Midlands of England and studied Arts and Crafts in Coventry. I only produced a limited body of work, mainly drawings, including one or two commissions, until 2001. At that time I had a number of projects in mind and the opportunity to focus full time on my art.

My husband, Stewart, was born and raised in St Andrews, Scotland, so I have a great interest in the town and surrounding area, in particular the coastal villages of the East Neuk of Fife. The same can be said of my interest in County Wexford in Eire, the birthplace of my mother and where relatives still live.

The work of Georgia O’Keefe has always appealed to me and this led to a trip to Arizona and New Mexico. The landscape and architecture seen on our journey led me to embark on a series of paintings and drawings. I completed the first series of these between 2001 and 2005.

I am currently working on a number of projects.
